Seed to supper

Seed to Supper is a comprehensive six-week beginning gardening course series that gives novice, adult gardeners the tools they need to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget. Developed by Oregon Food Bank in cooperation with the Oregon State University Extension Service, Seed to Supper is offered throughout the state of Oregon in collaboration with organizations like CCMGA and other community partners. You can learn more about the statewide Seed to Supper Program here.

Over the past few years, CCMGA has offered one Seed to Supper class annually with rotating community partners to broaden our impact to different geographic areas and demographics. Recent community partners include the Owens Adair Housing Complex (2020), the Trillium House/Clatsop Community Action (2024), and Sunset Empire Park + Recreation (2025). If you're interested in partnering to offer a Seed to Supper course in Clatsop County, please reach out to Shannon Rauter, Master Gardener Program Coordinator at OSU Extension - Clatsop County: shannon.rauter@oregonstate.edu; 503-468-3981.
