Public Hop Harvest - Learn about Hops

It's time to harvest our hops at the Alderbrook Learning Garden! We invite the public to join us in the garden for this workday. 

Come help us harvest the hops or just learn something about how to grow this fun perennial crop. They'll be taken to Fort George Brewery the following day to be used in their annual Cohoperative beer which is brewed with donated hops. Even if you don't join us for harvest, you can head to the Fort George courtyard and help process the hops from 9 am to 2 pm on September 2nd.

If you plan to help harvest, you'll want gloves and long sleeves as the plants can be a little rough/sharp.
