Tuesday, September 29th from 11 am - 1 pm at the Demonstration Garden at the Clatsop County Fairg & Expo Center, 92937 Walluski Loop Astoria, OR 97103

Please join the Clatsop County Master Gardener Association for a lesson on putting the garden to bed. In this hands-on workshop, our volunteers will teach you:

How to manage slugs (including results from our 2026 Slug Traps)
Fall perennial propagation and cleanup
Selective pruning for winter
Tool Sharpening

Learn best practices for getting the garden ready for winter and pre-planning for next year's garden. Bring your garden questions, gloves, and favorite tools for sharpening. This event will be held rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Bring a friend, this family-friendly event is open to the public! Pets on leash only please.

We invite you to join us for our last garden event of the season at the Seaside Railroad Learning Garden! Join us to hear how the season went and what our volunteers learned. We'll put the garden to bed together and show you practical tips and tricks for end of season garden care. Refreshments provided. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
